Terms.

1 — Who you're dealing with

"I" / "me" refers to Conor Dobbs, doing business as The Sound Method, sole proprietor, Sacramento, California. "You" refers to the person or entity buying a product or service through this site. Payments are processed by Stripe; by checking out you also agree to Stripe's terms.

2 — Digital kits

Kits are digital downloads, delivered on-site immediately after payment (and emailed). You get a personal/commercial license to use the materials in your own work; you may not resell, repackage, or redistribute them as your own product. 14-day refund: if a kit isn't useful, email me within 14 days for a full refund.

3 — Productized AI services

• AI Week ($2,500) — a one-time, fixed-scope 5-business-day done-for-you build of an internal AI trained on your docs, pricing, SOPs, and brand voice (up to 50 documents and up to 3 use cases), plus 30 days of post-delivery tuning. On handoff you own the output outright — the system prompt, your source docs, and the working URL. Refund: full refund any time before the build begins; once your AI is built, it's yours and the fee is non-refundable.
• AI Chatbot ($499) — a chatbot trained on your content, delivered within 48 hours of receiving your details. If it isn't live and working within that window, full refund. You keep the chatbot.
• Site / AI Audit ($99) — a recorded Loom walkthrough plus a ranked fix-list PDF, delivered within 24 hours, with 30 days of follow-up email Q&A. If the Loom isn't useful, full refund within 7 days of delivery.

4 — Websites, plans & consulting

• One-pager ($250) — a custom single-page site delivered as static files you host anywhere, with no ongoing fee. Yours on delivery.
• Managed Website ($200/mo) — managed hosting, design iterations, new pages on request, and analytics, on a 3-month minimum, then month-to-month. The first invoice is $1,200 ($1,000 setup + first month).
• Premium App ($750/mo) — a full app build with admin, database, API, and jobs, on a 3-month minimum, then month-to-month. The first invoice is $3,250 ($2,500 setup + first month); complex scope beyond the floor is quoted in writing first.
• Consulting (per hour) — an hour of architecture review, stack advice, or product strategy, recorded with notes.
• Custom work — bespoke projects are scoped and priced in writing before any work begins; the agreed quote and scope govern.

5 — Ownership

For services, you own the deliverables, system prompts, and source documents on final payment, and may export them on request. Kit materials remain my intellectual property and are licensed to you under section 2. Generic, reusable code and methods I bring to a project remain mine to reuse.

6 — Chargebacks

Filing a chargeback on a charge covered by the refund terms above (instead of emailing me first) is a breach of these terms. I'd much rather just refund you — reach out. I reserve the right to revoke access to digital products and decline future business in the case of an abusive dispute.

7 — No guarantees beyond what's stated

Products and services are provided as-is, with the specific guarantees stated above. I don't promise business outcomes, revenue, rankings, or results — only the deliverables described on each offer's page.

8 — Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes will first be addressed by good-faith email discussion. If unresolved within thirty days, they'll be resolved by binding arbitration in Sacramento County, California.
